About the team
The Business Licensing and Registration Services Team is a part of the Digital Strategy and Operations Division and is responsible for the IT development, delivery, management and support of a whole of government licensing service and Australian Government business registration service; supporting the government’s Digital Transformation Agenda and National Business Simplification Initiative.
The Business Registration Service (BRS) assists new and existing businesses by providing, on behalf of ATO and ASIC, a user centred transactional service that allows Australians to apply for all their necessary registrations to start and grow their business. While the Australian Business Licence & Information Service (ABLIS) is breaking down jurisdictional barriers by bringing together licensing, compliance and regulatory information at a Commonwealth, State, and Local level in an informational service to enable businesses and business intenders to identify the requirements for that business to start and grow regardless of the council or state in which they operate.

What you will do
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- performing a range of technical and manual testing activities to full-fill the testing requirements for web site and web service transactional testing
- working as an effective member of an agile team including showing strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities
- engaging and contributing across the branch and wider across the department to improve service delivery
- effectively working with a range of products and frameworks including MS Visual Studio, Postman, MTM, continuous deployment and testing harnesses.
Demonstrated relevant experience working as a technical test analyst within an agile team, designing, developing and executing test scripts to support a range of specialist tests, both manual and automated.
Qualifications relevant to testing and experience in the mentioned software packages, would be highly desirable.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
These positions require a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
This recruitment process is being used to fill current vacancies for ongoing APS5/6 positions. A merit pool may be established to fill future ongoing APS5/6 vacancies should they become available within 12 months from the advertised date. Candidates will be engaged commensurate with their relevant work experience and breadth and skill level.
