About the team
The Whole of Government Systems Branch is part of the department’s Digital Strategy and Operations division and provides external facing whole of government systems to both business and government (federal, state and local). The Branch contributes to and delivers on whole of government digital transformation initiatives, including the Digital Transformation Agenda and works with a number of other agencies to deliver better services, support and information for business.

What you will do
The Transition Lead role will be responsible for managing tasks associated with successfully transitioning the department into its next phase of whole of government service delivery. Immediate tasks to be undertaken by the person taking on responsibility for this role will include completing a transition strategy and detailed transition plan, including stakeholder engagement and assistance with change management and communications.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- develop an understanding of whole of government services, and the services that it currently offers to internal and external users
- with the assistance of the Engagement team, effectively engage with users of the services to understand their use of the service and assess the impact of the transition
- complete a transition strategy report for the department's Executive
- develop a detailed transition plan for the required team(s) and relevant project manager to implement.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
This recruitment process is being used to fill a temporary or non-ongoing Executive Level 1 position. A merit pool may be established to fill future non-ongoing Executive Level 1 vacancies should they become available within 12 months from the date advertised.
