The Digital Strategy and Operations Division (DSO) of DIIS is front and centre in implementing the government’s National Business Simplification Initiative and Digital Transformation Agenda. The Division also provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department.

The successful candidate must:
- Have experience leading a content design team in an agile environment
- Be comfortable advocating and negotiating on behalf of the user
- Have experience applying user-centered design principles to digital products
- Have experience using data and research to make evidence based decisions
- Have a demonstrated understanding of digital communications and channel management
What you will do
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team you will lead the design, writing and editing of digital content based on user-centred design and digital best practice principles. You will be required to work closely with subject matter experts to identify and analyse key information, write informative, discoverable and accessible content, with a strong focus on end-to-end user journeys. You will be required to champion change and assist in developing the department’s improved digital literacy.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
This recruitment process is being used to fill a current ongoing Executive Level 1 position. A merit pool may be established to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing Executive Level 1 vacancies should they become available within 12 months from the date advertised.
