About the team

The Systems and Support Section is a comprehensive, integrated support model for staff delivering grants and services on behalf of the Business Grants Hub (BGH). The section works closely across on-boarding, finance, grant delivery and ICT areas to support our distributed network of Grant delivery teams

What you will do

As part of a team, Senior Support Analysts (APS Level 6) will;

  • provide a helpdesk function offering accurate and timely advice and assistance to system users through different channels including phone, email and instant messaging
  • Communicate with users on progress of requests, from receipt to closure
  • Build and maintain relevant technical knowledge
  • collaborate with other teams in the resolution of complex or technical matters that require Level 2 (advanced) technical support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes improvements
  • assist with data analysis and reporting used to monitor the effectiveness of systems and processes
  • support, mentor and coach other team members to develop their capability.

As part of a team, Support Analysts (APS Level 5) will;

  • provide a helpdesk function offering accurate and timely advice and assistance to system users through different channels including phone, email and instant messaging
  • triage and allocate support requests using the departments incident management system
  •  Communicate with users on progress of requests, from receipt to closure
  • develop and maintain relevant technical knowledge.


To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.

Security Clearance

These positions require a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.


This job is being used to fill immediate APS Level 5 and 6 vacancies within the Systems and Support Section. A merit pool may be established and used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies.
