About the team

We are seeking an Assistant Manager (EL1) for the Contact Services Section to manage the contract and financial assurance team. The Contact Services Section is part of the Business Outreach and Engagement Branch of AusIndustry.

You would work within a multi-disciplinary agile team with contact centre administrators, data reporting specialists, contract managers and service design experts. 

The Section supports the delivery of the 13 28 46 Contact Centre services. The 13 28 46 Contact Centre supplements the support and information provided by the business.gov.au website. Business.gov.au is a single digital entry point connecting Australian business owners to information, grants, registrations and support from government.

Our ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate will manage the daily administration of contact services. In particular finance and contract management, with finance and procurement experience. With strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in and stakeholder management. The position provides a great opportunity to build a strong knowledge of key stakeholders across government, industry and business and work with them to promote our channels.

What you will do

  • Review and respond to corporate finance queries such as:
    • accruals,
    • variance reporting,
    • forecasting,
    • account reconciliation,
    • budget,
    • commitments,
    • contract and
    • purchase order management.
  • Review and respond to Ministerial Correspondence, event briefs, and replies to enquires from the Minister’s Office.
  • Influence and manage contact centre operations and governance. Including the promotion of service and business development activities.
  • Contract performance management, including quality assurance.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must be Australian Citizens.

Security Clearance

These positions require a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
